The 2012 Italian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race that took place at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza on 9 September 2012. It was the thirteenth race of the 2012 Formula One season.
Lewis Hamilton qualified on pole, ahead of teammate Jenson Button. The result gave McLaren their 62nd front-row lock-out, breaking the previous record set by Williams. Hamilton won the race by four seconds from Sergio Pérez, with Fernando Alonso completing the podium.
