- Points towards the International Cup for F1 Manufacturers were awarded on a 9–6–4–3–2–1 basis for the first six places in each race. Only the best placed car of each manufacturer was eligible to score points. Only the 7 best results from the first 8 races and the best 6 results from the remaining 7 races could be retained.
